'Tis the Season...

for all us morbid horror-movie lovers to flock to the theaters and video stores so that we can watch Santa be very very naughty.

Opening on Christmas Day:

Black Christmas (2006)

(I've not seen the original, but if you hate remakes, I'm sure you could track it down at a decently-stocked local video store.)

On the homefront:

This past weekend, I lucked out and managed to get my hands on a $5 dvd at Half-Price Books that contains both Silent Night, Deadly Night (clips and more info HERE) and Christmas Evil, both of which I'm sure are Oscar-winning Christmas movies. *snort* Expect reviews sometime after Christmas.

And finally, if you haven't seen it yet, please do yourself a favor this year, and RENT JACK FROST, for Jesus's sake! It just wouldn't be Christmas without a killer snowman making bad puns about snowballs.

Silent Night, Deadly Night & Black Christmas are classics. A must for every holiday season. IMHO, Black Christmas is one of the best slasher flicks. Hopefully they won't ruin the remake.

God knows, at the rate they're going with remakes lately, I wouldn't hold your breath. ; )
